This is the set of dishes and the case called TUNDABUN. They were coated with black lacquer and have five-clawed dragon pattern with the decoration of mother-of-pearl inlay. 15 of small cinnabar-lacquered dishes are contained inside the case. TUNDABUN was used to make an offering to Shinto and Buddhist deities and to treat guests. Same TUNDABUN was gifted as a tribute to a Chinese Emperor.
